Halloween isn’t just for the kids, it’s for grown-ups alike, so why not throw an impressive Halloween dinner party that’s suitable for everyone! We’ve got plenty of ideas to get you inspired, and the best thing is that you can DIY these table settings yourself.

From unconventional colour combos to sophisticated natural centrepieces, these ideas will elevate your on-theme Halloween table to the next level to create an unforgettable evening!

Natural green wonder

Looking for a sophisticated grown-up look? Then look no further. Pile up green pumpkins instead of orange for a softer aesthetic. Add black candle sticks and lashings of greenery naturally placed on the table. Don’t forget to add a throw or two to keep is cosy.

Go subtle with white

Spray your pumpkins white for an understated, subtle design. Add a clean white tablecloth along with a strip of natural hessian (an affordable purchase from fabric shops) to create a mini runner. Simply add tealights in jam jars to create a real ambience for the evening. Don’t forget to add sprigs of eucalyptus along the runner, as well as rosemary in your napkins to create a subtle scent.

Pretty floral fun

Black and pink; who would have thought it?! Go for this bold and feminine design to break the boundaries for typical Halloween decor. Paint your pumpkins pink, add some faux flowers and purchase a skull to pop on each plate. To go one step further, go all pink with crockery and cutlery.

Glowing golds and oranges

This picture-perfect tablescape is so effective with its effortless appeal. Go natural and purchase your pumpkins, squashes and fruit the day before to scatter on the table. Think apples, pomegranates and lemons. Add gold silverware and spray a sprig of foliage in gold too, to tie the theme together. Don’t forget to finish it off with candles and a flower centrepiece.

Sleeping skeleton

Have fun with the kids to create this simple yet fun table setting. Pop a little skeleton on each plate with a napkin over him as if he’s tucked up in bed! An orange plate will make this sweet yet spooky creature pop. Pick up some autumnal leaves and add a few baby squashes (the uglier the better!).

Dark spooky cobwebs

This one is not for those who are afraid of spiders… this tastefully spooky table decor is understated yet glam. Get some cobwebs and faux spiders and stretch it around the plate and table. Add in a couple of crispy autumnal leaves too. Add a hessian napkin and tie it around your silverware. For a little bit of atmosphere, don’t forget the simple tealights!
