#SecretWrenovation 2021 Winner Announced by Wren Kitchens & Neff!

Dreams have come true for a selfless, dedicated fundraiser from Hertfordshire who won a free kitchen from Wren Kitchens and Neff worth up to £25,000!

After thousands of entries it was a tough decision to pick just one lucky winner of the recent #SecretWrenovation competition, and after whittling it down Allyson O’Grady was crowned the deserving winner.

Over 30 years, Allyson has selflessly dedicated her life to volunteering in her local community and fundraising to help those who need it most.

To give a little something back, her husband of 42 years, Morgan, secretly nominated Allyson to win a new kitchen to transform their cramped and tired space at their home.

He revealed the news and Allyson couldn’t quite believe it. Husband Morgan said: “Allyson did look terrified when I asked her to sit down as I had something to say.

“We’ve been married for 42 years, so I’m sure she didn’t think I was leaving!

“Allyson always goes above and beyond to help others in the community and is truly deserving of this unbelievable prize.

“She loves to cook and bake, but the space we have has seen better days!

“It’s Allyson’s 70th birthday and our 43rd Wedding Anniversary in July. This is really going to be a great year!

“Thank you Wren and Neff, for the wonderful news!”

Allyson has dedicated many years to voluntary work, including delivering meals on wheels to the elderly with the Royal Voluntary Service (RVS). As a member of the St Vincent de Paul Society (SVP), she helps serving meals at local community lunches, organise and support fundraising events for the homeless and vulnerable and devotes every winter to pack warm clothing and toiletries for those who need it.

For 13 years, Allyson has offered her services to their local junior school at St John’s, Rickmansworth – helping infants develop their reading and put her netball skills to practice by teaching netball training sessions.

“I can’t believe it – what amazing news!”, said Allyson.

“A huge thank you to Wren Kitchens and Neff!

“I really enjoy cooking, and I can’t wait to do it in my brand-new kitchen.

“I would love a pull-out corner cupboard and large pull-out larder to easily access all my ingredients – I can’t wait!”

Allyson and Morgan have devoted many years to supporting others and giving back. They are proud their daughters are carrying on this tradition – helping and volunteering for charities in this country and abroad.

We can’t wait to see the kitchen transformation!
