Christmas is the time of year to eat, drink and be merry. But it can also be a stressful time too, juggling the organization of buffets and soirees you’d promised to your extended family and friends. Whatever it is that you’ve got planned, you need to make sure your preparation and hosting time is as stress-free as possible.
We speak to Wren Kitchens’ Joanne Dodsworth for her expert advice on the very latest smart appliances which are a helping hand in any kitchen.
It’s easy to forget what you really need from the supermarket when you’re surrounded by tempting festive foods. “Some fridges comes complete with preserver technology to remove any unpleasant odours and a handy airtight box too,” declares Joanne.
“Not only that, but if you have lots of leftovers from your Christmas dinner, there’s a vacuum seal feature for food storage or if you’re a keen chef, it’s suitable for sous vide cooking.
“It’s proving popular in USA and France as technology helps to preserve food for longer and reduces food waste which during the festive season happens too often.”
Not only that, but modern refridgerators comes with a removeable caddy for drinks, ideal to keep wines and champagnes accessibly chilled whilst hosting a festive party.
In open plan spaces, the last thing you want is cooking smells traveling around your house or the need to shout over the extractor whilst trying to have that all important catch-up. Many kitchens have limited capacity for extractor hoods, especially if your cooktop is located on an island. Joanne reveals her favourite hob with an integrated hoods: “There are some clever designs and smart-looking induction combined extractor cooktops.
