Wren's Statement
We ensure safeguarding legislation and guidance are adhered to and considered when developing and updating policies, procedures, and associated arrangements.
We make sure that our apprenticeship team have been trained and are fully aware of their responsibilities relating to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults. All new staff receive safeguarding training as part of their induction. It is a condition of employment that all apprenticeship staff are trained to a level appropriate to their Safeguarding responsibilities.
Wren provides a safe physical environment for all its learners and staff, ensuring that all premises are of a good standard. Health & Safety arrangements are in place to ensure adherence to current legislation and guidance.

Welfare & Safeguarding Policy
The purpose of this policy statement is to ensure all employees, particularly Young People, Vulnerable Adults, Apprentices, and those who work closely with them are aware of what our safeguarding procedures are and where concerns about safeguarding issues can be reported.

The aim of the Prevent Policy is to identify how employees and Apprentices will be supported to develop an understanding of the Prevent Strategy and how they can utilise their existing knowledge and skills to recognise someone who may have been or is being radicalised. The policy will build on existing safeguarding policies and procedures.

The purpose of this policy is to provide a clear understanding of acceptable use when using Wrens IT resources and systems. These resources include but are not limited to, internet browsing, Microsoft Teams, 8x8 and email.

Everyone who encounters children, young and vulnerable people have a role to play. We ensure all staff promote safeguarding concerns with an open mind. If you ever feel unsafe during your learning, please make sure that you tell someone:
- Your tutor
- Your line manager or supervisor if you are in the workplace

What is safeguarding?

Is safeguarding my responsibility?

Does safeguarding just apply to children?
No, it is for young people and adults. Wren Kitchens is committed to the safeguarding of all its learners, staff, and visitors.
What do I do if I have a concern?
If you ever feel unsafe during your learning, please make sure that you tell someone. Go to your Safeguarding lead or officer for advice to ensure this is recorded and the correct action is taken.
