Wren Kitchens Opens Showroom Close to Home in Scunthorpe

Today North Lincolnshire kitchen retailer, Wren Kitchens, opens its 89th inspirational showroom in Scunthorpe creating 20 new local jobs.

The former Toys R Us store at Gallagher Retail Park, has been divided into three separate units, one of which Wren occupies, and over three months the UK’s number one kitchen retailer has rigorously transformed it to the highest spec.

There are over 35 kitchens on display in a variety of styles from edgy industrial to ultra-modern and charming traditional designs. A new mezzanine floor has been fitted which houses a virtual reality room to help bring kitchens to life as well as an exciting array of storage solutions, taps, sinks, worktops, handles and appliances.

Mayor of North Lincolnshire, Cllr Jonathan Evison, officially cut the ribbon to the 12,500sq.ft. showroom. The local kitchen retailer donated £500 to the Mayor’s chosen charity, Lindsey Lodge Hospice.

He said: “It gives me great pleasure to open this showroom as Wren is a fantastic local company that is continuing to expand and develop rapidly.”

The showroom also brings a new concept to the retail market; Wren’s interior design studio which can be pre-booked at the showroom by local interior designers and architects to assist with client requirements. It has a large range of samples, design books and inspirational mood boards to assist with the creation of their client’s dream kitchen.

“We are delighted to be opening in our home county, with our kitchens manufactured just down the road,” said Wren Kitchens Scunthorpe Showroom Manager, Wayne Mason.

“It’s an exciting moment as our team has worked hard for many months for this day, so we can inspire and expertly offer advice for those wishing to tailor-make their very own dream kitchen.”

Wren is a family-run business and it is one of the biggest employers in the region, with over 2,000 at its headquarters and manufacturing facilities in Barton-upon-Humber, nearly 500 at its manufacturing facility at Foxhills Industrial Estate in Scunthorpe and over 260 at its assembly plant in Howden overlooking the M62.

It designs, manufactures and delivers over 2,000 kitchens a week across the UK and employs over 5,000 people in total.

The opening hours for the new Scunthorpe Wren Kitchens showroom are Monday to Fridays 9am to 8pm, Saturdays 9am to 6pm and Sundays 10:30am to 5pm.
