To support its rapid retail showroom expansion across the UK, Wren will almost double its IT capacity over the next year to ensure it’s at the forefront of the industry with innovative software and technology.

Wren is seeking enthusiastic graduates or school/college leavers with a keen eye for design and detail looking to kickstart their IT career by joining the 12-week programme leading to a permanent position.

An assessment day will be held on Tuesday, 8th October at Wren’s state-of-the-art headquarters, The Nest, in Barton-upon-Humber and applicants must apply via wrencareers.com before attending. On the day, hopefuls will meet Wren’s tech Team, experience a tour of the outstanding 180-acre headquarters and take part in a short IT-based assessment.

Successful applicants will start the IT Academy on Monday, 4th of November as part of the 100-strong IT team where they will be personally mentored by senior developers. The second cohort of eight PHP and JavaScript Developers will join the business on the same day.

“We’ve been highly impressed with the influx of graduates that have joined our IT Academy so far as we continue to develop and strengthen their skills with real hands-on training,” said Wren Kitchens IT Director, Craig Douglas.

“With few IT opportunities like this in the local area, we’re offering the rare opportunity to progress and develop in an industry-leading IT team where we will provide first-class training and development working on extensive live projects.

“We’re confident that the growth of our IT Academy will help drive the business forward and further strengthen our focus to continue to develop a world-class Wren digital world.”

The IT Front End Developer Graduate will develop and enhance Wren’s website and in-house systems through responsive design, online media management and analysis tools.
