Wren Kitchens Makes a Flying Start in Harrogate

Today the UK’s number one kitchen retailer, Wren Kitchens, opened its doors in Harrogate to bring inspiration and expertise to those renovating their dream kitchen space.

The impressive 19,190 sq. ft. showroom has 66 kitchens on display as well as a 3D virtual reality room, an Interior Design Studio for local interior designers and architects to use and a specialist Trade Centre dedicated to local kitchen professionals. All centrally located at Hookstone Retail Park, Harrogate.

The Lord Mayor and Mayoress of Harrogate, Cllr Stuart Martin MBE and Mrs April Martin, cut the ribbon to officially welcome the public for the first time. Wren, a Yorkshire and Lincolnshire based company, donated £500 to the Mayor’s charity funds which supports Yorkshire Air Ambulance and TASC Madagascar, which helps some of the most disadvantaged people on the planet.

Lord Mayor Cllr Stuart Martin MBE said: “It’s been an incredible experience opening this brand-new showroom and I’d like to thank Wren for their immense welcome and their generous donation which will make a huge difference to my charities.

“I’m really proud of such a large, successful organisation like Wren coming to Harrogate and I’ve been blown away by the success stories I’ve heard from the Wren team

“I’d like to wish Wren all the success here in Harrogate, and I’m confident they will be, positioned in such a prominent, busy retail park.”

MP for Harrogate and Knaresborough, Andrew Jones, also attended the opening. He commented:

“It was impressive to see the new Wren showroom and meet some of their team. Wren is a rapidly growing Yorkshire based business and it’s easy to see why they have grown so quickly. The range available is huge and the technology to plan and visualise is fantastic.

“Their kitchens are manufactured in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire and it’s always positive to see local manufacturing success.”

The former Carpetright unit underwent a three-month transformation to renovate it to the highest standards, including the installation of a new mezzanine floor. It’s also created 23 new local jobs for those in retail, design and surveying.

“We have a vast array of options including nearly 2,000 colours, worktops, taps, sinks, handles, storage solutions, appliances and the latest home connect technology.”

Harrogate is crowned Wren’s 91st showroom in the UK and it will be the first showroom to feature the brand-new 2020 Georgian range, which has a sophisticated yet traditional design.

The showroom is open Monday to Friday 9am to 8pm, Saturday 9am to 6pm and Sunday 10:30am to 5pm.
