Mayor Cuts Ribbon at Wren Kitchens Blackburn Showroom

Blackburn showroom opening

The official opening of the Wren Kitchens showroom in Blackburn was a real success, with the Mayor and Mayoress cutting the ribbon to welcome its flurry of first customers.

The Mayor of Hyndburn Cllr June Harrison and Mayoress Cllr Joyce Plummer were delighted to open the completely transformed showroom located at the Peel Centre. It’s created over 20 local jobs in retail, design and management.

The UK’s number one kitchen retailer donated £500 to the Mayoral Charity Fund which will be split between four worthy causes; Play 4UZ 2, Derian House Children’s Hospice, Macmillan Cancer Support and The Air Ambulance Service.

The Mayor of Hyndburn, Cllr June Harrison, commented: “We’re proud to officially open the showroom today and were highly impressed with the vast amount of choice and the warm reception we received.

“Wren is a real asset to the local area, employing local people and investing a substantial amount in transforming the showroom.

“We’re very humbled and thankful for the donation for our four worthy causes and so far we’ve raised around £2,500.”

Customers that walked through the doors on the open day were treated to complimentary nibbles and fizz and some even experienced the interactive 3D virtual reality headsets, a fun but realistic way to see your kitchen design come to life!

This is Wren’s 82nd state-of-the-art showroom which contains an array of over 30 kitchens on display from shaker to industrial and ultra-modern designs.

“It was great to experience such a genuine warm welcome by the community and the Mayor of Hyndburn,” added Wren Kitchens Blackburn Showroom Manager, Helen Winstanley.

“For most purchasing a kitchen is a once in a lifetime project, so we’re here to help every step of the way to offer expert advice and hints and tips to create that affordable, luxury kitchen you’ve always been dreaming of!”

The opening hours for the new Blackburn Wren Kitchens showroom will be Monday to Fridays 9am to 8pm, Saturdays 9am to 6pm and Sundays 10:30am to 5pm.
