Introducing Our New Infinity Plus Frontals – Japandi

We’re excited to introduce the newest addition to our Infinity Plus collection – the Japandi accent door. Stylish and on-trend, the Japandi style makes a profound design statement.

By definition, Japandi is an interior design style that is a fusion of Japanese and Scandinavian minimalist design. The word ‘Japandi’ is a portmanteau of “Japanese” and “Scandi”. The design concept focuses on clean lines, natural elements, and neutral colours. The result is a creation of a calm and welcoming living space.

Our contemporary frontals blend Scandinavian design’s smooth, modern lines with the elegant yet functional Japanese aesthetic. The Japandi frontals are available in natural oak only, and are real wood veneer doors with grooves, giving a premium look and feel.

Top Tips for Japandi Style

Colour

Japandi interior design tends to favour simple, neutral palettes. The colours should evoke feelings of tranquillity and calm, embracing the Scandinavian concept of hygge.

Palettes to pair with our Japandi frontals typically include Beige and Taupe to warm the space or cooler tones like Grey or White. Shades such as Olive Green and Brown help to bring the natural world into the home and are an excellent pairing for the natural oak finish on the frontals.

Accessories

Japanese and Scandinavian design favours simplicity, so items within the space should be functional and serve a purpose. Keeping clutter to a minimum embraces the minimalist mentality and encourages open space and clean, straight lines.

As our Japandi frontals are inspired by nature, pairing them with plants is a great way to add rich colour and life to an otherwise minimalistic interior. With their sustainable and air-purifying properties, plants are also in keeping with the fundamentals of Japanese design, natural elements, and calm living spaces.

Bring the outside in with organic textures such as concrete and copper, popular design elements of the desirable Scandi trend. Warmth can be added with organic linens, soft wool furnishings and seagrass rugs.
