Yorkshire isn’t just the home of Wren Kitchens. As one of the UK’s best-loved and friendliest regions, the historic White Rose county is the place that gave us Yorkshire Tea, Black Sheep Ale, The Kaiser Chiefs and…. fizzy water!

250 years ago, Joseph Priestly invented carbonated water in a Leeds University laboratory. So, you can thank him for Coca-Cola, Pepsi, or your preferred soda. And, did you know that Yorkshire Forced Rhubarb was given the coveted Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) accolade by the European Commission back in 2010? What an honour!

Held every August 1st, Yorkshire Day has entered its 42nd year. To help you celebrate, we’ve put together a Yorkshire Day Trail, which allows you to experience everything the region is known and loved for. Expect hearty, home-cooked food, fine ales, lush green countryside, and, of course, several pots of Yorkshire Tea (with some ginger cake on the side).
