Our kitchen units are built to a higher specification than the industry standard and are delivered to you, the customer, as fully assembled cabinets. This approach sets us apart from the competition and ensures that we supply an unrivalled level of quality every time.
So what makes our kitchen units different?
Firstly, our kitchen units are manufactured from premium materials. Our carcase ends, shelves and rails are made out of 18mm thick Melamine Faced Chipboard (MFC). The panels used to make our drawer bottoms are 15mm thick MFC and the back panels of our kitchen cabinets are 8mm medium density fibreboard (MDF).
Secondly, we ensure that every kitchen unit we manufacture is consistently square by gluing and dowelling every panel, before clamping the assembled units at high pressure in a squaring clamp.
Finally, the assembled kitchen units move down the production line where the hinges, doors, drawers and other custom components are fitted.
Stringent quality control checks are carried out at each stage of the assembly process to ensure that every kitchen unit leaving our factory meets our exceptionally high standards.
The small features that make a big difference
Soft Closing Door Hinges
Rather than opting for cheap, unreliable soft closing door hinges, Wren Kitchens fit the one-piece Blum 110 soft close door system to all of our kitchen units. This high quality fitting attaches to the hinge arm and goes virtually unnoticed.
The main advantage of this system is its quality - it lasts for years and is far superior to the cheaper two piece systems.
Soft Closing Drawers
The soft closing system used on all of our drawers is the same system found on many of the expensive German kitchen units. The ultra smooth action is seamless, ensuring that your kitchen drawers close silently every time.
Extra Deep Drawers
The UK's major kitchen manufacturers make their drawers with a standard depth of 450mm. Wren kitchen drawers are 500mm deep, giving you an extra 10% of storage space in every drawer, which means you no longer have to store long items like rolling pins and carving knives diagonally because they fit in our drawers perfectly.
Extra Deep Wall Cabinets
Have you ever tried to fit a dinner plate into your kitchen wall cabinet and found that the door won't close? You won't have that problem with Wren kitchen cabinets because they have all been designed to fit even the largest dinner plate. That little bit of extra depth makes a big difference.
Concealed Wall Hanging Brackets
Standard wall hanging brackets are cheap to produce and not very pleasing to the eye. Wren Kitchens have opted for much more expensive concealed wall hanging brackets because they don't impose on the space inside the cabinet and are much easier to adjust during the installation of your kitchen.
Convenient Service Gap
Our kitchen units feature a service gap at the back as standard. This means that any pipes and wires from your appliances and lighting can be easily hidden. All of the above features come as standard on all Wren kitchen units, which goes far beyond the specifications of our competitors' price equivalent units.
